VOLUNTEER

As a Board, we have not yet confirmed what the new volunteer shifts will look like, or if they are going to be replaced with something completly different. Until we have a replacement schedule radified, we have decided to leave the notes from previous Gathering's Volunteer requirements up...


This festival does not happen without help from everyone attending. We require a minimum of three hours of volunteer time from each person over the age of 12. It's a wonderful opportunity to meet people and make some new friends.

Presenting a workshop or ritual, while greatly appreciated, is not considered volunteer time. Work shift preferences will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you are a presenter, please indicate the names of those helping with your workshop/ritual so that they will not be scheduled for a work shift during this time.

Here are the shifts to choose from:

• Friday Site Setup: The Board needs a few people to come and assist with site setup on Friday. You must be able to be on site early for this shift.
• Meal Setup/Cleanup: Setting the table, serving the food and/or cleaning up, and sweeping the floors.
• Bathroom Cleanup: Both the girls' and boys' washhouses and bathrooms in the Recreation Hall need to be cleaned, including toilets, sinks, showers and floors. Plus the towels must be replaced and the paper products restocked.
• Late Night Cleanup: After most people have drifted away from the Recreation and Dining Hall, the garbage must be taken out, the tables wiped off, and the floors swept and mopped.
• Childcare: We require that all parents who have brought children with them work a shift in the childcare program.
• Security: Our Famous "Goon Sqwad". Get to know your camp mates by walking the grounds and keeping an eye out.
• Life Guarding: We need several certified lifeguards to patrol the swimming dock. If you have a minimum Bronze Cross Certification and would be willing to take on this work shift, please let us know.
