THE LAND
The Gathering will be taking place at a new venue this year; a 41-acre wilderness valley located on Stave Lake, just a forty-five minute drive east of Vancouver.
There are kilometers of hiking trails on site and the camp is surrounded by Crown Forest Lands.
There are three lodge buildings, each offering comfortable year-round accommodation. Each lodge sleeps 40 people with dormitory style rooms on the lower levels and more private family rooms on the upper levels. All dormitory rooms feature solid wood double base/single upper bunk beds with quality mattresses. Each lodge has a welcoming fireplace lounge – a great setting for informal group meetings, games, or a cozy place to relax.
There is a Recreation Hall, a Dining Hall, an Amphitheatre, and an Indoor swimming pool and therapeutic spa; however, there is no tenting allowed on site. There is a lot of beautiful scenery to enjoy, and lots of room to play, swim, dance, drum, meditate or just plain relax.
The camp is clothing optional in all areas for the entire weekend except for the Dining Hall and the Recreation Hall, which are clothing required at all times. Meals are served at the Dining Hall on a first-come, first-served basis. Meals are prepared by camp staff and include meat, vegetarian and vegan options. This site is completely wheelchair accessible. Although parking is not limited at this site, we still encourage people to carpool.
